Understanding the Two-Session JEE Main Framework

The National Testing Agency administers JEE Main in two separate windows:

1. **Session 1 (Winter Window)**: Late January 2027 2. **Session 2 (Spring Window)**: Early April 2027

Appearing in both sessions is optional but highly recommended. The candidate's **best NTA percentile score** across the two sessions is retained for the All India Rank (AIR) calculation.

Key Tactical Advice

- **Adapt to CBT Screen Navigation**: Use our [Mock Test Simulator](/tools/mock-test-timer/) to simulate 180-minute full screen concentration. - **Balance Math Speed**: Mathematics papers in recent years have featured lengthy algebraic calculations. Prioritize high-weightage topics like Vectors, 3D Geometry, and Calculus.
